The Electric Kazoo

The "Electric" Kazoo is a unique and wonderful instrument. Although prototypes and one-off designs date back to the 80's and maybe farther, two commercial production electric kazoos have appeared in the marketplace in the last few years.

First to market was the Kazooka which has evolved through several designs to the one pictured below. Later, the Hummbucker was introduce and widely distributed through music stores. Both designs have their unique and individual sounds, advantages and disadvantages, pros and cons. But both offer musicians and non-musicians alike the opportunity to be creative with a whole new palette of sounds that can only be brought to life with the electric kazoo.

This web site does not exist to promote one product versus the other. We believe that both are viable products. Each has it's fans. On this web site we hope to build a community of electric kazoo players that will support the electric kazoo in general, trade ideas, post recordings, and share the electric kazoo experience.
